Members of the Georgia Gwinnett men’s tennis team have been ranked among the nation’s top NAIA players by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

The Grizzlies placed three players in the top 50 singles rankings and one pair in the top 25 doubles rankings, which were released Wednesday based upon fall individual results.

“I’m proud of our players who received a national ranking,” Grizzlies head coach Chase Hodges said. “We’ve worked extremely hard throughout the fall and it’s nice for our players to get some recognition nationally.”

Senior Bruno Tiberti ranks 12th overall in the NAIA while sophomore Erik Moberg comes in one spot later at 13th and sophomore Evgeny Silitski is 36th.

Moberg and Tiberti stand 21st in the doubles ranking.

In the South Region rankings, Moberg stands fourth following a run to the ITA Regional semifinals in September, while Tiberti stands ninth after reaching the round of 16 at the Southern Intercollegiate Division I tournament, also in September.

Silitski, who reached the regional quarterfinals, stands 13th in the regional rankings.

Tiberti and Moberg stand seventh in doubles in the South Region.

“We look forward to the spring season and competing as a team,” added Hodges. The Grizzlies’ spring season begins in early February.
