The Georgia Gwinnett men's tennis team beat back a pesky Milligan College (Tenn.) squad and moved to 10-0 on the year with an 8-1 victory under the lights Thursday at the GGC Tennis Facility.

The Grizzlies lost the first doubles point for this first time this season but swept all six singles matches in straight sets.

Erik Moberg edged past MC's Andy Pullen at first singles, 6-4, 6-4, to move to 9-0 this season.

Tony Kostadinov tied a team high with his 10th singles win in a 6-2, 6-0 victory.

Hernan Hatem, Theo Arruda, Taylor Hardy and Luke Morland added singles victories as the Grizzlies rolled to the victory.

Georgia Gwinnett built a 2-1 lead after doubles play as Hardy/Arruda and Morland/Hatem secured 8-2 and 8-4 wins, respectively.

"It feels good to be 10-0," said Grizzlies head coach Chase Hodges. "It was a nice atmosphere out there in our first night match. Our team responded really well in singles play and earned a hard fought win out there.

"We look forward to facing a tough Young Harris team on Wednesday," Hodges added of his team's next opponent. The Grizzlies battle Young Harris College Wednesday in Lawrenceville at 2 p.m.
